The education world is going interdisciplinary today. I different in my opinion from the previous comment given by a Mass Comm Graduate. BJMC and LLB compliment each other that way.
LLB is more appropriate bit you know the years it will take. but it will make you eligible to practice LAW. You can enter Journalism even without BJMC if your Law skills are good for media works.

Legal Journalism is one thing that is of course meant for someone who knows Law. you can be a reporter for Courts, Presenter and Writer.

You need to apply for CLAT exam or entrance exam for other universities having their own entrance exam and interview for the admission process.

And, for LLM programme when you are in the final year of LLB degree, you can apply and again you have to apply for CLAT or entrance exam for different universities.

I would advise you to suspend your LLB course and concentrate fully on preparing for civil services exam .
