BCI does not allow studying law part time if you want to become a lawyer. For that, you are supposed to pursue a 5 year or 3 year LLB course.
However, otherwise, you can very much learn law part time, through correspondence courses or online.

Hello Justin,
There is an integrated five years course for law called BA LLB. There is a national level exam conducted for admission for this and to some of the other law colleges. You definitely need to study.

One can either pursue a three-year law course (LLB) after graduation in any discipline or a five-year course after twelfth standard examinations, leading to a BA LLB (Hons). The duration of a graduate program is 3 years and an LLB course after that would be another 3 years. Hence those who have decided to pursue law as their career take advantage of the BA LLB integrated course and hence save a year. The LLB course is sponsored by the Bar Council of India.
