The LL.M programme acceptance criteria for Bangalore colleges does not specify CLAT as a mandatory condition. NLSIU along with other educational institutions require CLAT PG exam scores yet Christ University and private law schools depend on their own entrance examinations or admit students through merit. The admission guidelines from each institution should be checked to determine their requirements about CLAT admission.

The eligibility criteria for the LLM course at Faculty of Law MGKPV is as follows:
- Candidates must have cleared a three-year LLM programme from a recognised university or a five-year integrated UG law course at the UG level.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate in their graduation
Candidates who meet the above mentioned criteria are eligible to apply for the course through the online application form available on the official website of MGKPV.
