LLM courses can be one-year or two-year courses. However, generally, the law degree is offered as a two-year duration. But soon, according to the recent deliberations of BCI, the one-year LLM shall be scrapped and two-year LLM shall be restored. It shall consist of four-semesters wherein candidates shall be required to submit dissertation in the end of the final semester.

For LL.M in Maritime Law at Gujarat Maritime University, you must have a bachelor's degree in law with a minimum of 50 percent marks, then apply through their entrance test and/or merit. You can check their websites for dates and forms — it's fairly simple if  you meet the basics.
