Both are good, I am an LPU Alumni, so I can tell you better about LPU. LPU, Jalandhar Punjab is a multi-faculty institution offering 160+ programmes in several disciplines such as fine arts, management, engineering. Pharmacy, law, architecture, etc. You can pursue a degree from a Diploma to a doctoral level. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA. Scholarships/Financial Assistance: LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. You have to study and work hard to pass. Because your answer sheets will not be checked by your faculty (who taught you). Everyone doesn't pass at LPU. In fact, this college with such huge numbers never makes it happen. Many get reappears or backlogs and clear them later on before they finish their course here. There are cases when students stay back after their course period just to clear their reappears and backlogs. There are many students who left this college in middle when they have too many reappears or backlogs and know that things cannot be cleared. If you are a hard-working student and very clear about your goal. Then buckle up and dive into LPU campus life. One more thing, for weak students, mentors are allocated to listen to students problems. They counsel weak students so that they can help them out to improve their academic performance. And also encourage them to participate in extracurricular activities. LPU always welcomes hard-working students. Students who do very well in academics and if they are toppers, then LPU awards the deserving students gold medals and University Academic Honour at the convocations.

Keeping in view affordability for students, LPU has options ranging from dormitory to single seater rooms. It costs Rs 35000 to over 95000 for a year (ten months). Similarly for mess, a student is charged Rs 30000 to Rs 50000 per annum (ten months), depending on whether the student opts for basic, standard or ala care mess. LPU also offers early decision benefits to those who book in advance. LPU campus is a mini city in itself. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment).
