The salary after an MA in History can range from a pay scale of INR 2 LPA to  INR 5.5 LPA. Yet, there are different salaries for different roles and positions. For example- The average salary of a journalist after MA History is INR 5 Lacs - INR 7 lakh. On the other hand, the salary after becoming a Researcher lies somewhere between INR 3 LPA - 4 LPA. After MA course completion, the graduates can find relevant jobs in their field as per chosen specialisation. There are a total of 20 seats for MA courses at the Alagappa University. Candidates are admitted to the programmes as per the sanctioned seat intake. Apart from this, there are 790 seats for MA courses in the university affiliated colleges. The seat allotment for the PG course is done on merit-basis.
