Hi Jamil,
To pursue M.Com from Goa University, you must have done B.Com. This is the minimum eligibility criteria for all the universities. So, you are not eligible for M.Com.

PGDM expands to Post Graduate Diploma in Management, while PGP is Post Graduate programme Diploma and all the confusion starts when you see the term Diploma. Yes, you read it right this is Diploma and not exactly a degree in technical terms. The main reason why postgraduate courses are named as PGDM is because when an Institute is an autonomous body (not affiliated to any University) and conducts management courses, then such institutes cannot offer MBA degree. Even IIMs, XLRIs doesn't offer MBA degrees, they only give PGP Diploma.

It depends a lot on what area of the banking space would you be keen.
For a job in the back office of a bank, a B.Com/M.Com should be fine. However, for management level opportunity, you should pursue MBA in finance/marketing & try for an internship in a bank as a part of your MBA project.

As the New Town campus has been worked on, most departments have been shifted from park street. Your department will be in New Town.
