M.Ed

Candidates who are interested in admission to the UOK M.Ed course must have completed their three-year bachelor's or equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Admissions at UOK are based on scores obtained in the last qualifying examinations. Once selected candidates must prepare the relevant documents for verification purposes.

UOK provides a two-year full-time M.Ed programme. This course is organised in four semesters. Admission is granted to students who fulfil the course-specific eligibility and selection criteria. For more details, candidates can refer to the following table:

The admissions are expected to commence soon at UOK for the academic year 2025. Candidates who are interested in pursuing an M.Ed are requested to visit the official college website to fill out the online application form. The university offers a full-time postgraduate M.Ed course. An intake of 150 students is offered by the university for its M.Ed course.

The application fee is INR 500. Kota University conducts the application process for various courses online. No application will be entertained in any condition after the last date of admission as given in the university notification.

Candidates are required to have earned their B.Ed with a minimum of 50% marks in order to enroll at Himachal Pradesh University for admission into M.Ed. The university will conduct an entrance test of a maximum of 30 marks, and 70 marks shall be allotted according to the academic performance of the candidate. The entrance test generally consists of 70 multiple-choice questions. To qualify, candidates must score a minimum of 35%. In the case of M.Ed., there are 50 available seats, with annual tuition fees of approximately INR 13,540 for general category students and INR 6,740 for students belonging to SC/ST. 

The annual tuition charge for M.Ed at Chitkara College of Education amounts to INR 80,000 while the complete educational cost for two years reaches INR 1,60,000. The tuition fees are supplemented with examination fees, library fees and hostel fees that add up to INR 20,000 per annum. Meritorious students at the college receive educational scholarships that include various levels of tuition fee waivers reaching up to 20%. Chitkara College of Education operates an M.Ed programme which secured approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to deliver research and practical training at its core.
