Despite an M.A and M.Phil in the Sanskrit language, it is quite advantageous to run a B.Ed. A B.Ed degree will also qualify you to work as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) or a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT - Sanskrit) in a government or a private school. A B.Ed is an obligatory requirement in most state and central schools teacher recruitment procedures and this provides enormous extension to your career in the field of education.

To be recognised as a licensed Clinical Psychologist in India, you must have completed an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from an RCI approved institute, as this is the minimum qualification for RCI registration.
You can work as a counselor, and/or mental health educator, and/or psychology teacher without an MPhil, but you cannot be a licensed Clinical Psychologist who conducts clinical assessments and therapy.

Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Over the years, the M.Phil degree had gained popularity among students who wanted to pursue a career in academia. In 2020, after revealing the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) the MPhil degree has been removed from the curriculum as an attempt to consolidate the higher education system in India. The objective is to promote research and niche specialisation through a doctoral degree.
