M.Sc Eligibility

To be eligible for the M.Sc. programs at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), students need to know about the following general criteria: 

Educational Qualification:

A candidate needs to have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university or institute. Minimum Marks: In the qualifying examination, marks (50% to 55% generally) are usually needed, but might differ with respect to subjects and category (marks relaxation is given to reserved category students as per government rules).

Entrance Examination:

The admission of M.Sc. programs is mainly via Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which the university conducts. Admission will be based on the qualifying criteria of the candidates in this examination.

Age Limit:
An upper age limit is not usually prescribed for M.Sc. courses at IGNTU. You should check the website of the university regarding eligibility requirement related to the M.Sc. programme of your choice as they may change the eligibility criteria time by time.

For admission into the M.Sc. courses proposed to be conducted by the A.P. State Council of Higher Education, APSCHE eligibility criteria are shown below:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as B.Sc., with 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
Entrance Test: It is usually through performance in the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test, (APPGCET).
Local/Non-local Status: Candidates must qualify local/non-local status requirements according to the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions regulations.
The criteria would mean that students already have the background for their respectively chosen M.Sc. programs.
