The eligibility criteria for M.Sc Nuclear Physics are mentioned below:
Those who have passed their B.Sc. In Nuclear Physics with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects of study with a minimum aggregate of 50% and above from a recognized university. Certain colleges and universities may conduct their own entrance examinations for the selection of candidates. M.Sc. Nuclear Physics: Admission Process
Admission to M.Sc. Nuclear Physics is done merely on the basis of Merit obtained in the qualifying examination. The minimum eligibility laid out is passing B.Sc. In Nuclear Physics with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and above from a recognized university. The eligibility criteria for the programme is subject to differ for different institutions as per the norms prescribed by them. However, candidates are required to pass the various entrance examination conducted by the respective universities for selection of candidates. The cumulative marks obtained after calculating the score secured in qualifying exam and entrance test will deem the merit cut-off the respective colleges. Students seeking admission to IITs will have to pass the JEE Advanced 2019entrance test to avail seat in the institution. Some of the entrance tests accepted for admission to M.Sc. Hi Mewa, Eligibility for Ph.D. M.Sc. Or equivalent degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Electronics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Photonics or Master's in Computer Applications. Marks are not the criteria for selection, but still it should be at least 50%. Admissions are Entrance based - Desirable to have valid GATE score / NET JRF/GPAT. Selection procedure: Candidates are shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in
the National Entrance Test or the qualifying degree as detailed in the above table. The selection is
based on the performance in the interview (in some of the departments, a written test will precede the
interview). .
