To be eligible for Master of science in food and nutrition sciences you need to have B.Sc home science, B.Sc. applied nutrition, B.Sc. rural home science, B.Sc. clinical nutrition and dietetics, B.Sc. Food science and quality control, general B.Sc. with nutrition as one paper, BHSC (4 years) with 50% marks in groups.

Nutritionists or dieticians may build a career in the following sectors- R&D (Research and Development), Healthcare sector (hospitals, clinics, health centres etc. ), Government schemes and organizations, NGOs, Teaching and Education sector.

It is purely based on your area of interest. If you want to continue and enhance your technical skills and knowledge, then M.Sc. Is a good option. If you are inclined to learn the management, then MBA is best suited for you. MBA in biotechnology fields also have a very bright scope, like in pharmaceutical, agriculture, horticulture and many more.

Nikita, you can apply in entry-level jobs but for better growth go for Masters after B.Sc. You can go for M.Sc. Or other courses and then Ph.D. if you want to be a hardcore researcher. For which you have to start preparing for NET/SET (SLET) competitive exams as CSIR conducts this NET twice in a year. Just remember that this is the toughest and tricky kind of exam.
