At present, the admission to the Physics programme in TIFR is for Ph.D. degree only. TIFR do not admit students for M.Sc. Or M.Phil separately (please see the SBP-Guidelines). Eligibility :- An M.Sc. In Physics the basic requirement for admission to the Ph.D. degree programme, but B.Sc. Graduates with consistently very good academic record are encouraged to apply. Candidates with B.Tech or M.Tech degree in relevant areas will also be considered. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks aggregate in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology and other Life Sciences subjects.

Why do you want to do M.Sc Ph.D in Physics? In which area of specialization? What makes you feel that you already have adequate knowledge & interest in this field of work to pursue M.Sc Ph.D? Why should we choose you? If this area of specialization is not available right now, then which other area of specialization is of interest to you?
