Best is a very subjective term. What is best for you may not be best for someone else. Look into what you like to be doing the rest of your life without getting bored. The industry, the job role, the location, the pay, the lifestyle, etc. If you get a decent job that promises to give you a handsome salary, exposure, good lifestyle and a balanced life, then you should go for a job, if not then it is advisable that you should first pursue M.Sc degree and then head-out to secure a job. There are very few candidates who are doctorate in chemistry. Typically, these students can join any of the research labs of government of India. Some private companies in the chemical field too recruit for helping them in their business. One can join academia as a professor, etc.

Eligibility criteria for M.Sc in forensic science:
- Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines such as engineering, pharmacy, criminology, forensic science and science are eligible to pursue this course.
- Minimum aggregate marks required are 45-55% marks. It may vary from one college to another.
