If you are willing to pursue M.Sc, then you can take admission in IIT's or IISc. This is a dream of a science students to be a part of IIT. You can appear for IIT JAM entrance test for M.Sc.

To be able to pursue M.Sc. in Information Technology, you need to have Computers as a subject in your Bachelors. B.Sc (IT or CS), BCS, BCA, B.Tech are some of the favourable courses. Since you've passed B.Tech from Mechanical field, which doesn't have Computers as a subject, I'm afraid you're not eligible for M.Sc IT.
