Hello SP Singh, firstly and most importantly my heartiest congratulations to you for resuming studies at the age of 50 and completion of your post graduation in engineering from one of the IIT. Theoretically definitely yes. Your Institute is bound to put your for placements when the companies come for recruitments but then whether they select or not is dependent on their perception of employing a candidate who is about 50 years of age. Best wishes to you.

Hello Shreyasi Acharya, I can understand your angst and the anxiety. Frankly speaking even graduation in Chemistry is job oriented. Perhaps you can do PG or B.Ed. You can even think of taking tuitions for Chemistry. Actually if you take up a course that fits into what you like then it will be exciting. In today's world, there are literally hundreds of areas in which one can make a career. You just need to select one that you like. That's all. Best wishes to you.
