Admission form will be out from June 11th, 2019 onwards.
Admission criteria is 50% marks in B.E. / B.Tech in relevant discipline from a recognised university with GATE.

Eligibility//Graduate from a recognized university. * Scope for Mechatronics Engineering in India Though, there is no specific data to track employment for mechatronics professionals, in the recent years there has been increasing demand for mechatronics professionals. About 5% growth in terms of employment in comparison to electrical engineers. Thank you.

Yes, ECE students can take up CSE GATE.
However, this is not as easy as it looks. You need to work your off to crack the exam.
Also, note that a few colleges require you to have a degree also in the same domain as the
GATE paper. For instance, I am ECE and I want to take up "Automobile technology" at some college listed under their department of Mechanical Engineering. Hence, I appear for GATE ME paper, but still not eligible to get that particular course because the college also requires me to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME).
