Dear Aspirant,
No, Engineering Degrees are offer through Distance Education in AUCET. Suggest you do regular course because Distance Education Degrees in Engineering are not recognised by AICTE / UGC. The students who did their M.Tech in Distance mode are not eligible to apply for government or Private jobs.

As far I know, in some colleges, it is allowed that student from other branches ,other than CSE can pursue his MTech in CSE but under some conditions. You have to write your GATE paper in CSE. Directly, other branches are not admitted as MTech is a research field and without knowledge. Colleges won't admit any non-BTech CSE into CSE in MTech.

GATE percentile represents a candidate's performance compared to all the candidates appeared in that same paper in the same year. Whereas, GATE score represents a candidates performance in comparison to all the candidates appeared in GATE exam since 2007. GATE score and percentile change with the standard of GATE paper. I can only say that a job is not a bad choice too. But if you really want to go forward with your education and you really have that learning spark towards any field then you should pursue that first. If you really want to learn about things in a particular field then go ahead for that. Here, I can say that go ahead with M.Tech plan. A job is a thing which you can do after PG too.

This is really a complicated question because both GATE score, as well as a percentile, are relative terms. These are measures of performance of a candidate in GATE based on the performance of other candidates appeared in the GATE exam.
GATE percentile represents a candidates performance compared to all the candidates appeared in that same paper in the same year. Whereas, GATE score represents a candidates performance in comparison to all the candidates appeared in GATE exam since 2007.
GATE score and percentile change with the standard of GATE paper. If GATE paper is easy then most of the students get good scores but the all India rank
