M.Tech

GATE Syllabus have 3 major sections namely General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Chosen subject. GATE General aptitude syllabus is based on intermediate level general understanding to test aptitude of candidates. However, Engineering mathematics and chosen subject's syllabus will be of graduation level. A candidates must expect good undergraduate level question from the syllabus in the GATE exam.

The distribution of questions in all papers except AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL, the marking distribution is as follows - General Aptitude (15), Engineering Mathematics (13 marks), and Subject-specific (72). The distribution of questions in AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL is as follows - General Aptitude (15) and Subject-specific (85). 

Candidates with valid qualifications can visit the official website of Aligarh Muslim University to apply for the M.Tech course at ZHCET. Candidates can follow the below steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of ZHCET and click on the hamburger icon

Step 2: Click on the 'Admissions & Exams' option

Step 3: Click on 'Application Forms for Admission'

Step 4: Click on the 'New User' registration tab

Step 5: Create an alphanumeric username and password, and provide the candidate's name and email ID

Step 6: On the next page, click on the hamburger icon

Step 7: Step-wise clickable options will open up.

Step 8: Conclude the application process by paying the registration fee by credit card/ debit card/net banking.

To get admission at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology for MTech, candidates are required to apply for GATE, the entrance exam. The admission dates differ for different academic sessions and are released by the university online. 

Candidates with a valid GATE score can apply on the official website of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). After the application process candidates are called in for the counselling rounds followed by seat allocations. However, candidates without a GATE score can apply for the remaining seats by participating in the University entrance test conducted by AMU. Once the seats are allocated candidates must visit the university campus for document verification. After the verification of original documents, candidates must confirm their admission by submitting the ZHCET M.Tech fees charged at admission.

Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology offers M.Tech in Nanotechnology as a full-time regular course lasting for two years. The course curriculum is spread across four semesters which covers important subjects like the Basics of Nanoscience, Nanomaterial Synthesis and Characterization, Optical and Electron Microscopy, Nanosensors, and Nanophotonics, etc. The qualification required for ZHCET M.Tech Nanotechnology admission is as follows:

• BTech or its equivalent examination in any branch of Engineering with not less than 60% in aggregate or its equivalent CPI/CGPA/NAG
• MSc (Physics / Chemistry/Life Science) with not less than 60% aggregate.
