Admission into the M.Tech programme offered at the institute is made only after students fulfil the JBIT Dehradun M.Tech eligibility criteria. Students must fulfil any of the following criteria in addition to satisfying the selection criteria:
- BTech in CS/ IT/ EC with a minimum aggregate of 55% from a recognised university or
- MCA with a minimum aggregate of 55% from a recognised university or

NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology M.Tech admissions are on the basis of BE/ BTech qualification in relevant subjects with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-1). Candidates must qualify NUCAT, which is conducted by the NITTE University for admission to all the UG and PG programmes. NUCAT is a multiple-choice test of 120 minutes comprising 120 questions. The test is conducted in online mode. Candidates must qualify the eligibility criteria and secure the suggested aggregate to seek admission.
