ZHCET M.Tech alumni are placed in top recruting companies such as TCS, Wipro and Accenture. As per placement report 2023 is not released. Earlier, the the highest package offered during Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology placements 2022 stood at INR 16.8 LPA. Further, a total of 54 companies visited the campus during Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology placements 2022.

The common subjects offered under the M.Tech course at ZHCET differ on the basis of the specialisation candidates have chosen and includes both core and elective subjects along with project work in the last semester. For exanple, the common topics covered in the M.Tech Civil Engineering course usually remain almost the same that include:
• Structural Dynamics
• Advanced Concrete Technology
• Finite Element Analysis
• Rock Mechanics and Earth Pressure
• Soil Dynamics and Machine Foundations

Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with at least 60% aggregate can apply for the Haridwar University M.Tech programme. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, the selection for M.Tech programme is entrance-based.

JIS College of Engineering and Haldia Institute of Technology are offering full-time M.Tech courses in Kolkata. Both the institutions have been placed under the #201-300 rank band in the NIRF Ranking 2024 (Engineering category). JIS College of Engineering M.Tech is a two-year course comprising four semesters. In each semester, students are taught various core and elective subjects relevant to their chosen specialisations. Each subject carries certain credit points as the course curriculum is based on the CBCS scheme. In addition to the theoretical and practical subjects, the course curriculum also includes a Dissertation carrying 16 credits which is to be submitted during the final semester of the course.

The M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) curriculum followed at JIS College of Engineering is spread over a period of two years.
