To enter Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, you need to score at least 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII. The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category students is 40%.

Yes ETO course is at RL institute, Madurai.According to it's website the admissions are currently open and has the following features :
- The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) has approved the Institute to deliver this ETO Course.
- Electrical/Electronics Engineers who successfully complete the course are eligible to work aboard Merchant Naval Ships.
- The course is designed and delivered in accordance with DGS criteria, including practical demonstrations using simulators, audiovisual aids, and important hands-on instruction.
- The student would be entitled for a Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) from Shipping Master,
