The most popular entrance exams for BTech admissions are JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students can take many state- and private-level entrance exams in addition to these national entrance exams in order to be admitted to the course. The prerequisites for a BTech programme are primarily Class 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. All entrance exams and institutes, however, have additional requirements. Certain institutions further provide admission to their courses based on merit, meaning that students' marks from their class 12 board exams are taken into consideration. In general, admission to a desired specialisation at the NITs requires a JEE Main score of 85–95 percentile, while admission to the IITs requires a minimum JEE Main percentile of 90 percentile.

Manav Bharti University MBU admits students to BTech programme on the basis of JEE scores. However, Manav Bharti University has not yet disclosed the minimum JEE Mains cutoff score needed to be admitted to the university. For admission to JEE Main participating institutes, candidates must achieve minimum ranks, often as closing ranks. Following each round of JoSAA counselling, admission requirements for all participating institutions will also be made public. For General, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, 51.98, ST, and 0.001 categories, the anticipated minimum scores in JEE Mains 2024 are as follows: 75.62 for GEN-EWS, 73.61 for OBC-NCL, and 90.78 for General category.

If your JEE Mains percentage is 86, then you can definitely try to get admitted to Manav Bharti University. The B.Tech. programme at Manav Bharti University (MBU) offers the following trades: electrical, mechanical, computer science, computer science, electronics and communications, and civil. Only the Entrance Test will be used to enrol the candidates. The results of any national or state-level entrance exam, such as JEE, AIEEE, etc., would be taken into account. The student must take the university entrance exam if they haven't taken any national or state entrance exams. AIEEE and JEE cutoffs may change depending on a number of variables. A score of 250 or above is regarded as a decent score to obtain an idea of the cutoff values, and a percentile between 85 and 95 is sufficient to get admitted.
