See if you want to pursue MBA correspondence I won't suggest any of colleges which you mentioned I would suggest in this case Narsee monjee, it's distance MBA is also reputed and valuable to pursue.

I am not very sure if you'll get a seat. The seats for CSE are already full. You can give your name for waitlist. Considering your rank if there are any seats available later, then you'll have a better probability of getting in.

When it comes to mechanical, MIT is really good. There are well equipped labs, good library, good infrastructure, learned professors, a lot of student projects which are funded by the college upto a certain extend( there's no funding in VIT). The two colleges MIGHT ALMOST be at par, but when it comes to campus life, MIT is much better. Even the Manipal as a town is much better than vellore and all this really affects your overall development. I would suggest you to go for MIT any day.
