In general, applicants to Manipal College of Dental Sciences who do not pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) are not eligible for direct admission to the BDS program. To guarantee an objective evaluation of their academic preparedness, candidates for undergraduate dental programs in India are required to sit the NEET exam. NRI quotas or management may make some seats available even though NEET qualification is still required.
