Follow your heart, which will only take you to the right destination. Do not do something to please someone. I am saying this, because I don't understand why did you get into B.Tech? If you want to be an actor? Anyways, once you become successful, people will value you truly automatically, so don't bother, hard work and perseverance will surely pay. You can do a Diploma in acting from Mumbai, it is a dreamland for the people to pursue acting, and I suggest this institute. http://www.itaspa.in/acting.html.

Hi Rajat!
Acting schools are mostly expensive only. Even a short term course of 3 months might cost you around 60-70K at least. You can rather get associated with some theater group and learn the skills of acting from them. Joining a theater group will not be a cheaper option but will also enhance your skills as a whole.

Hi Pranav, Photography is a field which will open up lot of possibilities for you, if you got the metal and have the passion and vision to see what others can't. Having said that, it is also one of the vastly exploited fields today with every other person with a camera opting to be a photographer and looking for shoots. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it is definitely generating more jobs in the editing department because of the quality of pictures coming in)
If you are serious about photography then there sure are various genres for you to venture into. To name a few;
1. Photojournalism
2. Product Photography
3. Fashion P

Hi Prerna!
In order to pursue mass communication, you will have to appear for a general aptitude test conducted by various institutes/universities. The test consists of 4 sections, namely Quantitative aptitude (Basic Maths), Logical Reasoning, English Language Comprehension and General awareness. This is an objective type question paper and might have negative marking too.
