I would say sound engineering is a better option as it is an extensive course and has better job opportunities than a DJ certificate course. Sound engineering is a challenging field, yet very rewarding. Sound Engineers develop a high quality recording of music, speech and sound effects in studios. They use technical instruments to produce sound for film, radio, television. The potential for growth is huge for a sound engineer. Career opportunities for sound engineer and technicians are available in various fields like radio stations, tv channels, studios, multimedia design, animation, advertising firms, movies and more. One can opt for specialised courses in technical skills such as sequencing, mastering, editing and recording. With proper experience, he / she can become studio managers as well.
