In these fields, there is a very good career and the plus point is Master's in these fields. As journalism and mass communication are very active nowadays, so students can apply in any journalist firm or can apply in any media works. As it also provides a good paid job in big cities like Mumbai and Delhi. And a student can also become a journalist by working in a good journalist firm. As per my preference, for a better career, a student have to apply in any of the journalistic firm or any media company.

Bachelor in Mass Communication is the Foundation Degree in India because our Schools do not have this domain as a Specialisation. Media Studies or some other related subject is just part of the curriculum of Humanities and Arts in Senior Secondary and doesn't have major role. Hence, B.A. Remains a less preferred degree for getting a job quickly.

Having said this, I must clarify that B.A. Mass Communication is a good option to make a career in Media. After all, one has to somewhere start learning where the career is to be taken. B.A. Mass Communication done from average institutions in India doesn't lead to a good career possibility UNLE

There is a comparison asked for in this question. Video Editing Vs Advertising Management and Public Relations.
1. Video Editing is a single dimensional area where one shall work FOR the Advertising Management industry as well as for the Public Relationship work as well.
2. Editing is more of a Desk Job whereas Advt and PR Management is a comprehensive profile. The former keeps you in the later takes you to.field and vast areas of Public Interaction.
3. Editing is a Technical Skills; whereas PR and Advt Management is made of competence and multiple skills.

Go for a job if a good prospect is coming your way.
Justification: Media, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Advt Management, Promotion, Media Production, Digital Marketing, Online Reputation Management etc a. Are such courses that must be put to use as early as possible. My rationale is not against doing higher studies, but you can keep studies along with the JOB.
Remember, that it is good to start your career in this domain as early as possible.
If the option of Higher Studies is based on absence of good job and an attractive option to Study at a Good Place then the Higher Ed option is also good.
Favour the idea of Vocational Ed

I am afraid that there are any specific government college for mass communication, there are many colleges that provides Bachelor's degree in Journalism precisely, but not Mass communication. Journalism is just a mere part of Mass Communication that has various fields inside, so if you want to pursue your career in just Journalism then DCAC, IP University are some of the leaders in the stream considering they are under government. Rest the fees structure in private colleges are also not that high and in fact you get the same exposure in both the sectors. See, both the colleges will follow the same course structure with the same facilit

If you are working in the field of advertising Management and you want to enhance your knowledge base, then it is beneficial only when you can have opportunities to apply that knowledge. Advertising Management is a practical field and any sort of distance programme will be of limited help, if you are not getting any opportunities to apply that knowledge.

You are already pursuing a Master's degree which already make you a leader. According to me, instead of taking parallel courses, you should look forward to gain some internship training, which will nourish your CV and will make you excel in the interviews. Yes having an extra course during Bachelors could have helped you, because you were supposed to choose your career, but when you have already decided that and following the same route then these certificates won't be beneficial.

Mass communication has different fields like Public relations, event management, news reading, short film maker etc. All you need is to select one among the million and proceed further. You have to make yourself that strong and keep your skills set by so that companies will hire you seeing your resume only. Companies these days hunt for good skills and not higher degree, so if you have the right knowledge about the subject and you know how to complete the work you have already made your path clear. No institute can give you jobs better than what you will find for yourself of your own. They will just guide you to achieve them, rest all

Hello Sanjukta!
To be honest, there are many things you've to keep in mind. If you're applying for St. Xavier's College, then you need to know the Eligibility criteria. Then comes the second one - The admission test. For the admission test, you need to prepare it , thoroughly (if you are serious about it). They follows the question pattern, which consists of MCQs, Identify, Essays. It's of 100 marks. Now here, comes the twist. The first part consists of objectives. Those are very tricky.
