Syllabus of Symbiosis Entrance Test
There is no proper syllabus for the exam. The students should practice the questions from the above domains.
English
Out of 150 questions, English carries 25 questions and the students can practice certain areas like
- Synonyms
- Antonyms
- Reading Comprehension
- Dictionary meaning of different words
- Correct grammar usage and their rules etc.
Quantitative Aptitude
It also carries 25 questions and the areas need attention are
- Geometry
- Algebra
- Statistics
- General Awareness
This section carries out 60 questions and students should know the current issues and events in
- Business
- Health
- Legal Area etc.
Analytical and Logical Reasoning
This section carries 40 questions and the areas covering are
- Coding and decoding
- Data interpretation
- Definitely true or false statements
- Probably true or false statements etc.

Practice and Practice are the short cut for scoring high. They can practice with the text book of the same or can get the study material in net. They have to learn to adjust the time and solve each question within the prescribed time. So the best way of preparing for the exam is to practice a number of mock tests and understand the weak area.

First, you should get your hands on previous years papers of the college entrance exams. Try and answer them it will give you an idea as to what line of questioning the exam takes.
In general Mass Communication and Journalism entrance exams test English Grammar, Writing Skills, Knowledge of Current Affairs and Critical Writing ability. Critical writing is not criticising but being able to grasp and break down a problem to explain it then offer probable solutions or answers.
Reading newspapers, knowing the media landscape, watching news television and trying to understand why Arnab Goswami shouts so much, why newspapers write in a certain way and why news on internet portals is so different are some of the things that you may need to know an answer. There will be questions on Media Policy, Laws, Ethics, Films, Books, controversies, free speech, election propaganda, news coverage and so many other things.
After getting through the entrance test there will be a personal interview which will test whether you have the content to back up your statement of purpose from the test. Basically, you need to know everything under the sun. Sounds intimidating and it is but it is not impossible.

Undergraduate degree programs in photography and related fields may be available at art schools, colleges and universities. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography programs generally focus on hands-on instruction in the technical and creative aspects of the visual art. Courses may include photography techniques, studio lighting, color theory, graphic design, digital photography and artwork critique.
