Mass Communication & Media

The B.A. (Hons.) IILM University's Journalism & Media Studies is a four-year programme to impart journalistic knowledge to the students. The programme encompasses print, audio-visual, broadcast and convergence media, research, writing and content creation. The department offered options for students to take to include department options and other options coming from other departments. The programme entails compulsory practical training sessions, which exposes to learn more from the existing labor market realities. To be eligible for this programme a student should have minimum of 50% in aggregate at the 10+2 level. Unfortunately, the amount of the programme fee is unclear, although there are scholarships for those who wish to gain access to it.

Azaz Rizvi College of Journalism and Mass Communication offers various opportunities for scholarships, which may vary from programs to programs and each year.

Media colleges generally give scholarships on the basis of merit and financial grounds, as well as in categories like SC/ST, OBC or minority students. Some colleges also award scholarships to brilliant students on the basis of their performance in academics or through entrance examinations. Some of the media colleges that have external organizations or foundations also give scholarships to students for media courses, including PG Diplomas.

Other scholarships may include the availability of prior experience in journalism or mass communication or outstanding talent scholarships open and the application process for the upcoming academic session.
