Yes, the option to get a Permanent residency in Australia is very possible after an MS from USyd.
The eligibility is to have a 2-year CRICOS-registered course and then receive a Temporary Graduate Visa (which is Subclass 485).
Then, the process moves forward by gaining some work experience and along with meeting the point-based criteria.
