With few exceptions, hospital management, in its present form is not a great career. Hospitals are very poor paymaster as compared to other industries. For a fresher with a Masters degree in hospital management, the starting CTC would be around 4 LPA, which is not even 50% of the average CTC offered to regular MBA students of any good institute.
Growth is also slow and limited. Even if one becomes chief of hospital, the pay difference from the chief of the organisation from any other sector will be very high.
