You don't have to choose the specialization at the beginning itself. That will be after you complete two trimesters.

As for general cut off, 70 and above is a good score.

Eligibility: For NS (Non Sponsored) category-min. 50% marks in graduation with a minimum MAT score: 500, CAT/XAT-75 percentile, NMAT-60 percentile, GMAT score 500 or Amity written test on the day of the interview. For S (Sponsored) category-min. 50% marks in graduation with MAT score-450, CAT/XAT-65 percentile, NMAT-50 percentile, Or GMAT score-450 or Amity Written Test on the day of the interview.

XAT is a more challenging exam as compared to MAT, and requires a lot of focus and dedicated preparation to clear it with a very good score. Also, a lot of reputed B-schools like XLRI, SP Jain, etc. accept XAT scores, thus making it more important than MAT.
