The duration will be 2-years only for PGDM programme. If I talk about the fee structure, the fact is that it varies from one college to another.
Best colleges for operations is NITIE and SIOM so I would suggest going for these colleges if you are really inclined towards operations.

Placement, exposure and learning in an MBA program depends largely on how the peer group is and how driven the candidate is towards the program. If you happen to make it to the Ivy League schools of India or abroad, you will certainly get a cohort that will have a pedigree and will push you to improve yourself. Schools like IIMs, FMS, XLRI, IIFT, MDI are NITIE are all the schools that have operations and finance as the majors available. If you make it to these, placement opportunities in MNCs and PSUs await you.
All the best.

For the NET exam, you need to have cleared all your backs. You should have obtained minimum qualifying marks with aggregate 55% marks (general) and 50% (others) in Master's degree.

BIMM focuses on your overall performance and not on score. If you perform good in GD/PI, then even marks won't matter.

If you just want to get an "MBA" degree then you can go ahead for part-time MBA. It won't teach you much, you will have to appear for exams and you have a degree with minimal value to help in your career.
The reason people do part-time MBA is, sometime helps them to get promotion in their current jobs. There may be a situation where your promotion is avoided since you don't have a advance degree in comparison to your peers. I have seen some big hot shot corporate biggies who don't have a full time MBA degree and their employer don't know about this. They just used a part-time MBA degree to jump few ladders in corporate world. Keep in mi

Hi Navin,
If you're a mechanical, CSE, IT or ECE, MBA operations is a highly preferred course. For other engineers, marketing is suitable.
All the best for your future.
