A student can seek admission for doctoral research in a subject in which he / she has completed post graduation studies. In your case you have shifted from engineering to management and hence many universities may not accept your candidature for doctoral research. Be that as it may you can definitely seek admission for doctoral research in any of the management subjects. This year CMAT was held. Similar MBA entrance exams are on hold. Admission process & tests for many b schools have been made online. Few b universities are conducting their own entrance online. Firstly, you decide which type of MBA you want I. e general MBA, specialized MBA, or highly specialized MBA programme. Hr, marketing, finance & operational most demanding specializations. Similarly, there are highly specialized MBA courses like forest management, agribusiness, pharmaceutical etc. You should choose an MBA stream that is suitable for the graduation stream & relevant to the future. Suppose if you are an agriculture graduate. Then MBA in agribusiness would be more suitable. Marketing is a specialization which can be opted by student from any stream. After making a decision on MBA type & stream you can shortlist some good b school & try to match their eligibility of test or other. In this pandemic situation if you are not able to make it to good b school then goind for distance MBA from reputed college may be a good option. Symbiosis, NMIMS, IGNOU, Pondicherry University, Kurushetra University, Anamalai university are a few good options.
