The first difference between MBA and PGDM is that MBA is a degree course and PGDM is a Diploma course. If I talk about which one is better, then PGDM would be the right choice as MBA is an old version for pursuing management studies and PGDM course is far more industry relevant and practical as far as the job market is concerned.

If you want to pursue PGDM-Finance, then Dr, D. Y. Patil, Pune would be the better option.

It is completely dependent on the college from which you are pursuing PGDM-HR. But in general, the average salary of a PGDM-HR is 4.5 LPA to 10 LPA.

Since MBA is an old version for those who are willing to pursue management studies, a two year Diploma course PGDM sounds much better. Generally, PGDM course is far more industry relevant and practical as far as the job market is concerned.

Yes, you can go for Ph.D. in psychology after PGDM. But you should have basic knowledge in psychology right from the development of tests, measures used to formulate the tests and its application values as well as therapies or counselling format done.

Basically it depends on which course you would opt. In IIHMR, Jaipur, as it offers Rural Management, Hospital and Health Management & Pharma Management. Your score would be entertained differently in different courses, but as for basic margin you should score good marks in MAT (50%-60% would do it for you) and give some extra efforts in Group Discussion & Personal Interview. This is the question which comes in mind of every MBA aspirant. See, You should go for MBA or PGDM depends on one more aspect, as one can directly tell you that yes PGDM has more advanced syllabus in compared with MBA for so and so reason, which I don't deny at all, but you need to consider the other side also. Like for example it also depends on the institution you select, if I got selected in IIM for MBA course (just saying) and also I got offer letter for PGDM from any other renowned institute then definitely I will prefer IIM MBA and not PGDM.
