MAT is an MBA entrance examination for almost all MBA colleges, which is conducted by AIMA. XAT is to get admission into Xaviers Institute of Management of different locations and it is also some of the other MBA colleges.

I think, MBA in port and shipping management might restrict your options to export and import related or shipyard management jobs. There might be an outside chances of procurement jobs. With MBA in logistics and supply chain, you would be suitable for roles in areas of logistics, distribution, warehousing, supply/demand planning, manufacturing and procurement. You also might have an outside chance of import export related roles.

BBA-MBA/B.Com-MBA will have higher salary offers. This depends on the stream an individual pursues. Marketing has more variable pays and generally starts from 6-7 lakhs and grows to 14-15 lakhs in 3-4 years time. Finance students also have initial packages from 7-8 lakhs, HR varies from 5-8 lakhs. These values much depend on colleges and organizations coming to campus for recruitment.

The scope for an MBA in operations in India are immense. Why did you ask this fundamental question? I know many companies such as L&T Engineering, TVS motors, Zuari group, Bosch are some examples and scores of other cos have recruited/are hiring freshly minted MBAs for their operations. Banks such as Yes Bank also hire for their operations. There is lot of scope besides other functions/disciplines like general management roles, sales & marketing, finance, consulting and so on. Yes, you can go for MBA once if you are a qualified graduate. The rank which you have secured is not a good one to get into top colleges. If you are not satisfied with the college which you got just try some other sources like management quota, if not apply for MAT which will conducted 4 times a year and score a good percentile in that and choose the best college.

You can't apply now, in 2019, when you will be in final year you need to attempt anyone of the competitive examinations like CAT MAT GMAT etc., and score more than 60% in that to make yourself eligible for most of the colleges and go for the admission procedure. But if you see there are best colleges in Ahmadabad which are offering Masters degree, once inquiry about all the colleges and proceed.

Your PG set rank which you secured is okay. But with this rank one can't get the top colleges for doing an MBA. Just look at the colleges list while applying for the online college options and choose the one better to you.

The rank which you scored is not really good to get top colleges for doing your Masters degree. You will have to do MBA in normal colleges. And also, the category in which you are will decide the college for you.
