CAT and XAT are must entrance examination for any MBA aspirant to seek admission in top 50 B-Schools. In order to increase your probability of success, you may also appear in SNAP, NMAT, IIFT, MAT, GMAT etc.

The eligibility criteria for admission to MBA programme at IGNOU is as follows as per the AICTE norms:
(a) Any graduate (Including Chartered Accountancy/ Cost Accountancy/ Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks for general category, 45% marks for reserved category, as per the rules of Government of India.
(b) Clearance of OPENMAT, conducted by IGNOU.
(c) There is no age bar.
Admission to Management Programmes of IGNOU is done through OPENMAT Entrance test, held twice a year. For appearing in the entrance test (OPENMAT), a student has to fill up Application form for OPENMAT Entrance Test). The next Entrance Test will be held on the followin

Biotech is a science and research oriented study as you already know. You need to put time in some self-analysis, about whether you want to be a Lab person and want to do intensive research or you want to get into field to sell, manage and plan things. If you are interest in management, and if it matches your skills, you should opt for MBA. And, if you want to pursue Research in the same field, then remain in M.Sc.
