IMI, Delhi is better but it is not that bad. First of all analyse yourself whether you want to go for core finance job or banking field sales.

For long term career growth, MBA is a better option. If you do not have any personal constraints, then you may opt for MBA over Diploma in banking & finance.

Hi Kavita,
No, its certainly not necessary to do MBA if you want to come a travel journalist. Being a travel Journalist is more about knowing and understanding the culture and aura of place you visit. I will suggest with your studies also start exploring different places near by and shoot documentaries. will help in your communication skills and also how you look at different aspects of cultural diversity.
All the best.

NITIE-Mumbai is best option for MBA in industrial management. Other good colleges you can look for SIOM-Nashik, NICMAR-Pune, SIBM-Pune. A score around 95 percentile in CAT is good enough to get into these colleges.
