When do you anticipate I'll enrol in an MBA programme? This is the first question that comes to mind. And I usually tell anyone who asks me for advise that all streams are excellent; just look at your abilities and your interests or what you like the best. Some people enjoy HR, some enjoy marketing, and yet others enjoy operations. Do not follow your buddies (for example, if this buddy of mine is going to Marketing, I am also going to Marketing; do not do this). But, as a marketing officer, I can tell you that marketing management has a wide range of applications in any business.

Yes, you can do Ph.D. in economics after MBA in finance as you are eligible for doing Ph.D. in Business Economics. To be eligible for Ph.D. course, you should have completed Masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognised university. You should also have a Bachelor's degree in economics / Bachelor in technology in economics from a recognised university. MBA in finance will help if Ph.D. in economics involves higher level math.
