Indian students need to complete one undergraduate degree in 4 years, usually Science, before applying to a U.S. medical school. A requirement to apply is the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). The MBBS curriculum is structured in three overarching phases: pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical. In the pre-clinical phase, the main subjects studied include Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry which provide a solid base in Medical Sciences.

Yes, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital offers scholarships to MBBS students. The college offers institutional scholarships and government-aided scholarships. Moreover, the RMCH is part of the Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust. Thus, the college offers Moogambigai Scholarships. To get the scholarships, applicants are required to apply through the official website of the college or NSP.

KS Hegde Medical Academy and RMCH Bangalore are both private colleges offering the MBBS course. The tuition fee for the course at RMCH Bangalore is INR 1.1 crore and INR 80.01 Lacs for KS Hegde Medical Academy. Thus, KS Hedge Medical Academy is more affordable for MBBS than RMCH Bangalore. However, apart from the fee structure, colleges can be compared on the average package, ROI, seat intake, and various other factors.

The total seat intake for the MBBS course at RMCH is 250. To get a seat in the MBBS course, applicants are required to complete their Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The candidate has also secured aggregate marks of not less than 50% (relaxation applies for SC/ ST/ OBC). It is compulsory to clear the NEET UG exam, followed by a counselling process.

At the time of admission or reporting at the allotted college, candidates will be required to furnish the following documents, failing which candidates will not be allowed to take MBBS admission at RMCH Bangalore:

  • Allotment letter
  • NEET Admit card

To apply for the MBBS course at RMCH Bangalore, applicants must track the NEET dates properly. Further, applicants can apply for RMCH only after qualifying for the NEET UG exam and participating in the counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The registration for the course begins in July.
