If you didn't study mathematics in your 12th grade, you can still pursue a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) by completing a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, like a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Candidates may be required by certain universities and institutions to have taken mathematics courses in their undergraduate programme or during their 12th grade year. As a result, you may need to enrol in more mathematics courses while pursuing your bachelor's degree or search for colleges that do not have strict requirements in mathematics for entrance to the MCA program.

You can apply to the VIT MCA program with a B.Sc. in Mathematics because the program normally allows graduates with a bachelor's degree in any subject that incorporates mathematics at the 10+2 level. To make sure all prerequisites are satisfied, see the official VIT website for exact eligibility requirements.

The eligibility is lenient at IGNOU. An aggregate of at least 50% in bachelor’s degree is required by IGNOU for admission to MCA courses but they are also open to students who did not attain the required mark if they have relevant experience or degree in the same field such as Computer Science or IT or BSc. Although you obtained an average of 48.73%, it is still possible to apply for the admission process; however, one should prepare themselves for some rejection after the selection process. Best of luck!
