Regarding the subject in UGC NET entrance exam, I am afraid its not going to be your choice. You can appear only for the Computer Science and Application and that is the end of the story. The subject is selected based on the post graduation qualification. Not the graduation course that you have taken.
Therefore you can not select between Maths and Computer Science. Your post graduation degree is Master of Computer Applications therefore the subject will be Computer Science and Applications.
Regards.

Hi Pooja,
Since there is no MCA degree abroad there is nothing much to do here. If you want to do your PG in computer science then look for similar programs but with different degree terminologies such as Master's degree or MS in Applied Computing, PG Diploma in IT, CS Animation, etc. The fee structure will accordingly differ, depends where you want to study. Consider around USD 30,000 or more a year.

Hi,
1. One of the main differences between AICTE and UGC, is that the former is exclusively formed for technical education.
2. While technical institutions are overlooked by the AICTE, the other universities and colleges fall under the UGC.
3. UGC approves universities in the country. It provides funds for affiliated universities and colleges. The AICTE is only a statutory body, which deals with development and proper planning of the technical education system in the country.
