Yes, you can opt to do a PGDCA as this will help you if you are more inclined to pursue a career in teaching/ education, or MCA if you are keen to make a career in the technical stream. This will help you secure a good career path but it is also important is to understand your area of interest based on which you should take an informed decision.

If you are doing graduation degree from a recognised university you are eligible to seek admission in PG degrees such as MCA, MBA, MSW, MMC, etc. subject to meeting other eligibility criteria.

Opt for MCA only if:
You want to give more preference to become lecturer rather than industry.
You are ready to give 2 years extra than B.Tech
You can't get reputed college for B.Tech.
You are science graduate so you can try for NIMCET, JNU, BHU and other top colleges for MCA.
You are a graduate.
You want to add Master's degree in your resume.
You want to appear for UGC- NET.
You want to work as PGT (Computer Science).
Otherwise, wisely choose B.Tech, little bitter but true.
Industries are giving more preference to B.Tech graduates than MCA graduates.
