If you wish to remain completely in the technical line, you should go for MCA. An MCA graduate is considered equivalent to a B.Tech graduate in terms of knowledge provided in the syllabus.
On the other hand, MBA provides you the knowledge to manage a business and its administration. It comes out quite useful, if you are planning to start your own business later on.
Both the streams are equally good with ample opportunities. Which stream do you want to choose depends on your interest.

The objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various MCA, M.Sc, joint M.Sc – Ph.D, M.Sc – Ph.D dual degree and other post Bachelor degree programs at the IITs based on the performance in a single test. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is 55% aggregate marks in the Bachelors degree.

MCA is considered equivalent to B.Tech in computer science engineering. Therefore, a MCA graduate has sufficient knowledge.
