DU offers MDS courses through affiliated colleges like Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi and Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, MAMC via NEET MDS exam. For the MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialisation, the cutoff rank stood at 33 for Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi. But, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, MAMC, the cutoff was not released for this particular course. Tabulated below is NEET MDS cutoff for MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offered at DU:

In such a scenario, you should wait for a while and login to your NEET MDS account again. In case of temporary glitch, the website may show the status of application as incomplete but it once the issue is resolved, the status will be shown as application successful. On the other hand, if any of the step, or the application fee payment is still pending, then you should check which stage it has been stuck and repeat the step again. In order to apply or appear for the NEET MDS exam, candidates have to fulfill the following eligbility criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) programme from an institute recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI)
  • They must be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) (permanent/provisional)

  • They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before the stipulated date.

In case a candidate does not fulfill any of the above mentioned NEET MDS eligibility criterion, then he/she will not be considered for the MDS admission process.

People's University allows entrance exam score choices for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme admission. The two pre-approved entrance exams for postgraduate study are the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) and the All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGDEE). The university accepts USPNEE scores exceeding 300 points from 1200 possible and USIPGDEE scores surpassing 400 points from 600 offerings. Based on the DY Patil Dental College MDS cut-off for the last round of admissions in 2024, MDS in Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge turned out to be the most difficult to secure admission to. During the last round, the cut-off rank at which the admission for Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge closed at was 4,131 for the General (AIQ) candidates. For the same category, MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology turned out to be the least competitive specialisation, with a closing rank of 13,904.
