Yes, you can do it. After completing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering a candidate is eligible to pursue M.Sc. In Mathematics. There are many universities that offer this course :
Delhi University, Delhi
St. Xaviers College, Ahmedabad
Lovely Professional University
St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad
Christ University, Bengaluru
Presidency College, Chennai

Eligibility Criteria for Masters in Mechanical Engineering in Canada. Students must have a 4-year graduate degree in some engineering programme, with a total academic career of at least 16 years and a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students from engineering backgrounds are preferred as they have fundamental knowledge about the course.
