Congrats! You can get into mechanical branch if your AIR lies between 6000 to 7500. After 1st year you will have a chance of branch slide based on your 1st year score. You should at least get 9 CGPA in your first year. I got chemical engineering branch through counseling and after first year I changed to mechanical with a CGPA of 9.03. A friend of mine got 8.89 and got slide from biotechnology to mechanical. Hope it helps. Good luck.

Hi Shubham,
In case you can justify the fact that you're inclined towards physics no matter what, there's nothing that will stop you. You'll need to prove this, however through projects, internships, research papers and otherwise. All the best.

Yes, according to your JEE Mains April 2019 marks there may be chances of getting any NIT college for mechanical engineering branch.
It is four years course.

The eligibility for B.Tech mechanical is you need to have 45% with Physics, Mathematics, English, Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biology as mandatory subjects.
Also, you need to appear for WBJEE or JEE Mains.
