It depends on how much knowledge and application of the knowledge you learn in college. Apart from knowledge, skills are also required to learn. Also keep a good hold on subjects like fluid dynamics, heat, thermodynamics, etc.

You can get placement in mechanical engineering in NIT if you have strong hold in any one topic of your course like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, etc. If you have no strong hold in any one topic of your course, then there is no chance of placement. Also, you have to maintain minimum 8 CGPA for good placement.

Each state university conduct own entrance exam for lateral entry students. So, appear in that exam. Moreover, some deemed university conduct own entrance exam or also fill seats management seats directly.

Must have minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
