Yes, you can get admission in the 2nd year of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering through lateral entry. This provision allows students who have completed their ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or 12th class with vocational subjects to directly join the 2nd year of a Diploma program.

IISC Bangalore accepts GATE scores for admisison to the M.Tech courses.
