Hello,
You have got 66.24%. In our college, there is another shift which is also present for mechanical engineering and if you fall under the reserved quota then maybe you can get selected or else, if possible, take admission via management quota.

In engineering, you can go for computer Science or IT engineering. You can also go for marine engineering but its quite an extension. You can even go for civil engineering because it has a good scope, even you can establish your own company as a builder. Apart from the usual engineering branches, you can choose some different types of engineering branches like food technology and petrochemical engineering as they are underdogs in the field of engineering.

Not so good if we talk about MS course. In 2017, there were only 4 companies who offered 4 placement to students with a package of 4.8 and 3 LPA. Companies were Vignan University, Forbes marshell and SVP lasers.

Hi Aravind,
Yes, there is B.Tech lateral entry for mechanical engineering students too. Here, you get direct admission to 2nd year of B.Tech if you are a Diploma holder in engineering.

Hello Ravi,
I would strongly advise you to stop thinking of doing Diploma or degree in engineering via distance education since it has been declared as illegal by SC of India. Please think of doing something else.
